Reservations will be accepted a week before the canoe date. Join a guide as you explore this rich and diverse estuary up close. some experience is preferred. You must be at least 8 years old and able to paddle. You must wear covered shoes (no sandals or flip-flops). Bring water, sunscreen and a hat. Dress to get wet. Individuals with their own kayaks or canoes are welcome to join in. Call to reserve your spot. Meet at the Visitors Information Center at 9:45 AM. We will leave promptly at 10:00 AM.

Each Saturday, vendors take their place in front of Old Fort Park in the Canal Street Historic District. Local farmers offer fruit, vegetables, herbs, flowers, plants, juices, dairy, seafood and grass-fed meats.
Organic and pesticide-free produce are available. Quality handcrafted items and baked goods also are offered.

The area around the NSB Waterfront LOOP’s Christmas Park will be transformed into a dance floor later this month. Free Latin dance lessons will be offered as part of Salsa in the Park.
Lessons will be offered on several Latin dance styles. The full schedule includes:
- 6 – 6:45 p.m.: Salsa and zumba party
- 7 – 7:30 p.m.: Salsa, merengue and cha-cha line dancing
- 7:30 – 9 p.m.: Open dance to Latin music
- 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.: A Taste of Salsa (food) contest
Christmas Park is on the corner of Canal and Live Oak streets in New Smyrna Beach.
The event is hosted by the City of New Smyrna Beach and is open to the public.

Registration begins at 6:30 a.m.
The entry is $20 for this 3.1-mile run/walk, which includes a raffle and silent auction.

Food truck foodies will have new menu options when a fleet of food trucks rolls into the LOOP’s Canal Street Historic District.
“These food trucks will bring new culinary options,” said Liz Yancey, New Smyrna Beach recreation and events manager. “We’ve sandwiched this event between the Art Stroll and the Gallery Walk. It will be a fun, busy day around Canal Street.”
Dishes will include flat bread, tacos, barbeque, fish, lobster, crab, Vietnamese cuisine, gelato, ice cream and more.
As many as 20 trucks are expected to participate.

Students will learn paddling techniques, balance and how to read the ocean during this week long course.
Whether it is your first time on a surf board, or you are aspiring to become an elite professional surfer, our team of highly experienced watermen will make your camp experience fun and memorable. Our small camp size is limited to a maximum of 15 surfers per week to increase the amount of instruction you receive.
