Authors Pam Brandon, Katie Farmand and Heather McPherson traveled the state of Florida from Pensacola to Homestead, meeting farmers, chefs and artisans along the way. “Field to Feast, Recipes Celebrating Florida’s Farmers, Chefs, and Artisans” is a collection of recipes that became an anthology to celebrate the way Floridians eat, and the humble folks who grow our food – and, ultimately, it is the farmers, not the food, that is the story most worth telling.  The book includes nearly 100 recipes that provide a connection between farm and table, each dish true to its locally grown ingredients.

A Whole Heap of Goodness

Dessert: A Whole Heap of Jack Bread Pudding

I share a love of food and cooking with my family. We love to take family recipes and add our own secret twists to make them more of our own. To this day, cooking is a way in which we express originality, and more importantly, to bring together the people that mean the most to us and cook for them. I believe that serving home cooked food makes every day moments more special and it shows people how much you care for them. My mother and I inherited this from her mom, who I knew as “Maw,” and she undoubtedly did the same with hers. This book is full of recipes and memories of cooking with her. This cookbook is a culinary memoir and I know the journey will bring you a whole heap of smiles!
