New Smyrna Beach residents no longer need to travel several miles to renew a Florida driver license. For the convenience of residents, the State will park a mobile office next to New Smyrna Beach City Hall near the intersection of Sams Avenue and Julia Street.
The FLOW mobile offers updating, renewal or replacement of Florida driver licenses, identification cards and vehicle registrations. Services are provided out of a large bus. No written or driving tests are given from mobile units.
There is no additional fee to use the mobile office.
Beginning July 9, the mobile office will return to New Smyrna Beach twice a month and alternate locations between the Alonzo “Babe” James Community Center and City Hall.
Each Saturday, vendors take their place in front of Old Fort Park in the Canal Street Historic District. Local farmers offer fruit, vegetables, herbs, flowers, plants, juices, dairy, seafood and grass-fed meats.
Organic and pesticide-free produce are available. Quality handcrafted items and baked goods also are offered.
Once again it is “Bike and Bar” time. Last year ended with a total of around 1,100 riders. The promoters ask if you have any good photos or videos to link it/post them to the Bike and Bar Facebook page. If ordering shirts get the orders in soon. Please remember you do not need to buy a shirt, just show up.
