Pontoon Boat Cruise to Historic Seminole Rest @ Canaveral Visitor Center

turtle moundTake a leisurely cruise from the dock behind the Visitor Center to Seminole Rest, where there will be a tour of the historic house.

We’ll see lots of wildlife and enjoy some of the same views as river steamer passengers saw in the 19th century.

Our comfortable pontoon boat, Tortuga del Sol, and our licensed captains and experienced mates are trained to provide you with a memorable and safe tour.

Join us as we depart from the Visitor Center, weather permitting.  RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED and SPACE IS LIMITED.  A cost recovery fee of $20.00 per person is charged. There is a 50% discount for each holder of Senior or Access passes.  Children 15 and under are free.

 

PLEASE NOTE: all programs are subject to cancellation and/or rescheduling due to staff limitations, weather conditions, or other factors. Some programs require reservations, a minimum age, or a cost-recovery fee.  Call 386-428-3384 ext. 0 for program information during operating hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), www.nps.gov/cana.  Entrance fees apply to all interpretive program participants.  All programs meet the requirements for the Canaveral National Seashore Junior Ranger program.

Farmers Market @ Old Fort Park and City Hall

farmers marketEach Saturday, vendors take their place in front of Old Fort Park in the Canal Street Historic District. Local farmers offer fruit, vegetables, herbs, flowers, plants, juices, dairy, seafood and grass-fed meats.

Organic and pesticide-free produce are available. Quality handcrafted items and baked goods also are offered.

Classic Car Cruise-In @ American Legion Post 285

american legion classic car cruiseThe 3rd Saturday of every month is a classic car cruise-in at the American Legion Post 285.

$5 breakfast includes

  • scrambled eggs
  • bacon
  • sausage
  • biscuits and sausage gravy
  • home fries with and without onions
  • pancakes and/or cinnamon sticks
  • your choice of any or all with $2.00 Bloody Marys served till noon
  • Beverages also available in the canteen

Door prizes and 50/50 to be drawn around 11:30 a.m.

If you do not have a vehicle to bring you are still welcome to stop in (must show up with a car to get a door prize ticket).
