More than 40,000 visitors from around the state visit IMAGES: A Festival of the Arts, to enjoy artwork by the 210 artists from across the United States.
Presented by Atlantic Center for the Arts, IMAGES takes place in New Smyrna Beach, in the beautiful outdoor setting of Riverside Park, with the intracoastal waterway providing a stunning backdrop, and along historic Canal Street.
The high quality, salable work combined with continuous live musical entertainment, creative children’s art projects, a student art exhibit, and pleasing cuisine provides a culturally rich experience that communicates the ACA stamp of artistic excellence.

As the City of New Smyrna Beach continues to prepare an application for a new community redevelopment district, a series of stakeholder meetings are scheduled to solicit input from those who may benefit from the district. Meetings are scheduled Tuesday, March 5, in New Smyrna Beach City Hall Commission Chambers, 210 Sams Avenue, New Smyrna Beach. Meeting times are 9 – 10 a.m., 1- 2 p.m., and 5 p.m. The proposed CRA includes US 1 from just north of the municipal airport to the southern City limits, parts of the Historic Westside Community, the Canal Street Historic District, Bert Fish Medical Center, a portion of SR 44 to include the former K-Mart building, and contiguous residential areas. Seating is limited. Reservations are suggested.
The Cuts for Cudas III fundraiser will be from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday, March 10, near the corner of South Orange and Canal Street, New Smyrna Beach. Haircuts will be provided for a donation. The event also will include musical entertainment, food, and vendors. Cuts for Cudas III is hosted by Cudas Unhooked – a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting at-risk students at New Smyrna Beach High School.
