The unique street event includes local businesses and non-profit organizations. Business showcases, retail sales booths, educational displays, entertainment, a kids fun zone, food and more will fill the historic street.

Art Stroll/Gallery Walk
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Artistic vendors will set up along historic Canal Street and live music will be performed in Christmas Park. Galleries will feature solo and group exhibitions and artist talks in the Douglas Avenue area of the district from 4-7 p.m. Admission is free.

chruch Enjoy live music, entertainment, food, arts and crafts at the 22nd annual Black Heritage Festival.  Hair weaving, face painting, cane grinding, syrup making, soap making, storytelling, a school art display and a tour of the Black Heritage Museum will also be offered.

Weddings By the Sea: A Bridal Event @ Night Swan Intracoastal Bed and Breakfast
1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

nsb, wedding, new smyrna beachThis outdoor event will provide brides (and others who are planning special events) the opportunity to interact with more than 25 local vendors.  The first 50 brides receive a goodie bag.

Admission is FREE and parking is FREE.

Johhny Mathis Show @ Edgewater - New Smyrna Elks Lodge 1557

This impersonator is a national entertainer and came in the top 10 on Dick Clark’s original show, America’s got Talent!
* Join us at 5:00 p.m. for cocktails before the show.
 
The Elks Lodge raises money for many charitable groups including, our Veterans, Gifts of Love,  Boy Scouts, School Scholarships, Florida Youth Camp and Cudas Unhooked.

Mardi Gras Parade
7:00 PM – 9:30 PM

mardi-gras-maskThe 6th annual Flagler Avenue Mardi Gras Parade will travel the Avenue from the beach to turn south on Pine Street and end at Jessamine Avenue. Celebrate Fat Tuesday with the parade, Mardi Gras-themed music and food specials at venues along the Avenue.

The parade route will be closed to vehicular traffic from 5 – 8 p.m.  Cars also must be moved from the street to accommodate the large crowds. 

If you are interested in adding a float to the parade, it is free. All you have to do is print out an entry form @ www.partyonflagler.com.

1st Saturday Art Stroll/Gallery Walk

Stroll the Canal Street Historic District Saturday, March 2, during the monthly 1st Saturday Art Stroll and Gallery Walk in the NSB Waterfront LOOP. On the first Saturday of the month, artistic vendors set up along the historic street from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Galleries feature solo and group exhibitions and artist talks in the Douglas Avenue area of the district from 4-7 p.m. Admission is free.

Downtown Music Festival @ Old Fort Park, Emory Bennett Park, Christmas Park
9:00 AM – 11:00 PM

The Canal Street Historic District will be humming this Saturday. That’s when the Downtown Music Festival will fill the district. Free concerts will be staged from 9 a.m. – 11 p.m. at several venues indoors and outside under the trees. Park venues include Old Fort Park, Emory Bennett Park and Christmas Park.

Organic and pesticide-free produce are available. Quality handcrafted items and baked goods also are offered.
