Artistic vendors will set up along historic Canal Street and live music will be performed in Christmas Park. Galleries will feature solo and group exhibitions and artist talks in the Douglas Avenue area of the district from 4-7 p.m. Admission is free.
The 51st annual Art Fiesta will be held in Old Fort Park, across from City Hall. The fine arts and crafts show is family friendly and free.
Explore interesting wines as you walk historic Flagler Avenue or browse local Artists that will be lining the street.
During the progressive event, taste your choice of more than 100 showcased wines.
Wine tasting passports are $25 and are available at 113 Flagler, at the tent at Flagler Avenue and Cooper Street, or at the corner of S. Atlantic and Flagler Avenue.
Passports include 20 tasting tickets and a keepsake wine glass. Some locations feature both one- and multi-ticket wines to sample. Those who want to share their 20 tasting tickets with a friend may get an additional wine glass for $5. The event coincides with the Flagler Avenue Art Walk.

Stroll the Canal Street Historic District Saturday, March 2, during the monthly 1st Saturday Art Stroll and Gallery Walk in the NSB Waterfront LOOP. On the first Saturday of the month, artistic vendors set up along the historic street from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Galleries feature solo and group exhibitions and artist talks in the Douglas Avenue area of the district from 4-7 p.m. Admission is free.
Jo Swindell has been decorating eggs since 1989, the first few years hand-painting with acrylics. In 1994 she began studying pysanka, a Ukrainian Easter egg decorating technique using a wax-resist method, to create simple objects of great beauty.
The pysanky process involves building the final egg design by applying multiple layers of hot wax and dyes and requires several days to complete.
The finished eggs are protected with a light coat of lacquer and have been blown to eliminate any possibility of spoilage.
This demonstration is FREE to the public.
Atlantic Center for the Arts features a contrast in color in “HUE”, an exhibition by French born artist, Nathalie Chikhi. Works included in this exhibition, follow her fascination for simple arrangement and the application of repetitive methods.
“HUE” is the second exhibition within the newly createdalt_space gallery. The gallery name, short for alternative, was formed to feature Florida artists working in the genres of installation, emerging media and other non-traditional art forms.
Within this space, Chikhi will combine monochromatic wall drawings with a flamboyant floor installation. “These works are responsive to one another”, explains Chikhi, “With a conceptual approach to lights and shadows, the flat works on paper seem to become 3 dimensional. The absence of color makes them even more quiet & abstract. At the opposite, some small arches, built using a wide array of raw colored paper, draw an energetic land.” 
Nathalie Chikhi was born in 1975 and raised in Quimper, Brittany, a town best known for its Quimper faïence pottery, produced there since 1690, using bold provincial designs of Jean-Baptiste Bousquet.
Nathalie now works in Sanford, Florida. She earned her Bachelor in Visual Communication from Le Paraclet, Quimper in 1996 and a degree in Interactive Multimedia from Les Gobelins, Paris in 1999. She has shown at many venues across the USA since 2006, including the Bakehouse Art Complex in Miami (2008), The MassMoca in North Adams, MA (2011), the Museum for Women Artists in Deland, FL (2011), UCF art gallery in Orlando (2012) and FSU gallery of Fine Art in Tallahassee (2012). She held her first solo show at Twelve 21, Orlando in Sept 2011. Her works ‘Homage to Donald Judd”, sculpture and painting were exhibited at Aqua during Art Basel Miami Beach, 2011. One of her painting, OPAD #1, was selected for the Nurture Art Annual Benefit 2012, in Brooklyn NY.
“We are excited to host Nathalie Chikhi in this new venue.” says Meghan Martin, Atlantic Center for the Arts Community Arts and Exhibition Director, “Chikhi’s floor installation combined with her wall pieces will be a sensory experience as well as transformative to the alt_space gallery.
The exhibition “HUE” will open with a reception on Saturday, Saturday, March 2, 4 – 7 pm. In Partnership with the New Smyrna Beach Downtown Music Festival and Marc Monteson Productions, William Perry Duo (keyboard and guitar) will be performing live during the opening. Nathalie Chikhi will be present for the reception.

The public is invited to take a glimpse into the creative minds of the featured artists of the Atlantic Center for the Arts. INsideOUT is a presentation of works-in-progress developed during the residency.
This event is free and open to the public.

Businesses may make the most of their time by participating in the second annual New Smyrna Beach Job Fair from 10 a.m.- 1:30 p.m., Thursday, March 14, at the Alonzo “Babe” James Community Center, 201 N. Myrtle Ave., New Smyrna Beach. Participating businesses will have the opportunity to survey a large number of job applicants quickly and inexpensively during the event. They also will be able to network with other employers and cross-promote their business. Space is first come, first served. Advanced registration is required. The cost is $20 per table. Checks and envelopes should be made out to NSB Job Fair and mailed to New Smyrna Beach CRA Office, 210 Sams Avenue.
