Author Richard Stanley Cagan will embark on the second step of his inaugural “East Coast, United States, Reading and Book-Signing Tour”. The author will read excerpts from his newly released 389 page hard cover book titled “Mafia Cop – The Two Families of Michael Palermo- Saints Only Live in Heaven”, and sign copies for attendees.
“Mafia Cop” is the true personal memoir of New York City Detective First Class Michael Sabella aka Michael Palermo (undercover street name), and his mutually beneficial relationship with the New York City Police Department and the bosses of organized crime.
Among his credits Detective Sabella, (aka Mike Scotti), was the Chief of Security for “The Rolling Stones” rock group in which he protected the group during their United States concert tour in 1969 which culminated at the concert in Altamont, California where he and his cordon of off-duty New York City police detectives saved the “Stones” by a wild, wind-swept helicopter evacuation from the performing stage of the deadly riot which broke out during their performance.
Detective Sabella was a highly decorated larger-than-life, honest man, both as a police officer and a combat veteran of World War II and The Korean Conflict.
