Community Child Abduction Safety Class @ American Martial Arts
6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

steal proof

The Steal-Proof Master child anti-abduction program will be offered free, locally at American Martial Arts.

The “Journey of the Steal-Proof Master” is a fantasy-based adventure movie (watch on our giant 15 ft. screen) created by Adventures in Safety and Master Stephen Hammersley. The program is already being used around the world to teach thousands of school children about abduction prevention.

Watching the film, children learn to trust their intuitions and to become aware of the lures that child predators may use to kidnap and assault them. During the Steal-Proof Master safety program, children will be introduced to ten “evil warriors,” characters who represent the most common lures used by child predators to abduct and assault children.

Child safety expert Master Stephen Hammersley will teach children to recognize and learn how to be safe from child predators and also how to tell their parents or guardians when anything that another adult does or says makes them feel uncomfortable. The children will also participate in role-playing and discussions, leading them to understand and anticipate the potential dangers of interactions with strangers as well as friends and family members who might mean them harm.

The movie & workshop along with a special Martial Arts Performance by the AMA Leadership Demonstration Team will be offered FREE in New Smyrna Beach at American Martial Arts. Air conditioned, seating is limited to the first 40 children ages 5-14 years and adults.

Pre-registration is required. Please call 428-1316 to reserve your place, all children must be accompanied by a parent or adult.

“Our vision for this event is to reach out to local children and adults, to become aware and stay safe from child predators, while also becoming the catalysts in our community, bringing the messages in this video and training program into their neighborhoods, schools, churches and community groups, ” says Master Hammersley. “Kids love and need this video and respond to its fantasy-based approach. It holds their attention and the critical information is transferred to them in a way that they can relate and remember how to stay clear of child predators and grow up happy and safe.”
