Summer wouldn’t be complete without soulful blues humming throughout the streets of New Smyrna Beach, and this year, we’re taking things to a whole new level. Prepare yourself for a 3-day, music-filled journey into one of America’s most celebrated and popular music genres. This much-anticipated new event will feature scores of bands playing at multiple locations around town. Rich with history, tradition and diversity, the New Smyrna Beach Blues Festival will be the place to get your groove on this summer.

Registration Begins: 11:00am
Event: Noon-4pm

Get ready for a high-flying weekend of colorful fun at the New Smyrna Beach Kite Festival. Located directly on the beach, just south of Flagler Avenue, this event is sure to provide real “fun-in-the-sun” for the whole family.
There will be professional kite demonstrations; friendly competitions; and free lessons and tips for novices, including free kite kits and decorating stations for the kids. Adults and children are also encouraged to bring their own kites.
Admission is free, but registration (on a walk-up basis, the day of the event) is required.
Amateur teams will consist of families, friends, co-workers and community groups. All competitors will create their own sand sculptures in 10′ X 10′ plots of cordoned beach. Prizes will be awarded for individual adult, child and team categories, judged by both professionals and local celebrity judges. Sand art professionals will also create magnificent sculptures, showing off one of our area’s most valued natural resources. This is a free event, however spaces will be limited.
