The American Cancer Society’s Southeast Volusia Relay for Life fundraiser will run over 2 days in Riverside Park. Vendors, entertainment and live music will be offered throughout the event. Proceeds will benefit cancer research, education, programs and service.
Each Saturday, vendors take their place in front of Old Fort Park in the Canal Street Historic District. Local farmers offer fruit, vegetables, herbs, flowers, plants, juices, dairy, seafood and grass-fed meats.
Organic and pesticide-free produce are available. Quality handcrafted items and baked goods also are offered.

Computer basics: This lecture-based course for beginners will address terminology, the physical components of a computer, and the functions and features of the Windows operating system.
The classes will be in the library’s auditorium. Registration is not required.
The library is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

It is time to begin making your reservations for the Turtle Watch programs. The programs will take place in both the North District, Apollo Beach, New Smyrna Beach and in the South District, Playalinda Beach, Titusville. Shark behaviorist Richard O’Toole will give a video presentation of the sharks of Cocos Island.
The uninhabited island is 300 miles off the coast of Costa Rica and is a favorite diving site because of its large populations of sharks, rays, dolphins, marlin and green turtles.
Reservations are not required for this free program.
