Craig Nisley – Singer / Songwriter
A: I was born in St. Pete, went to school in Sarasota and then moved here.
Q: What brought you to NSB?
A: Originally? The Inlet. My band is what keeps me here.
Q: How long has Written-Off been a band?
A: We started 7 years ago and still have all the original members.
Q: Who are your musical influences?
A: NOFX, Sinatra, Clapton, Lagwagon and 7 Seconds. I like the old stuff too like Bad Religion and The Adolescents.
Q: What is the best concert you have seen in NSB?
A: Voodoo Glow Skulls at Beachside Tavern. Although the Joey Cape and Tony Sly show was killer too.
Q: What is your favorite meal in town?
A: Dustin’s Bar-B-Q hands down. I get the 4-piece chicken (all dark), double fries, no bread and water with some lemons.
Q: Where is your favorite spot on the beach?
A: 8th Ave, because it is closest to my house.
Q: What do you do on your day off?
A: Depends if there are waves or not. If there are waves I go surf and then head to OM Bar for happy hour. If there aren’t any waves, I go to OM Bar happy hour.
Q: Where is your favorite place in town to shop?
A: I don’t really go shopping. I guess it would be Publix.
Q: What is your favorite memory living here so far?
A: I’ve caught some fun little lefts out in the water, but I would say my birthday show was the best. We played with the Baggers at OM.
