Daytona State Foundation Encourages Students to Apply for Scholarships
DAYTONA BEACH – While federal financial aid is available to eligible students, scholarships are often overlooked as a funding source and, in some cases, can make the difference in a student’s ability to pursue a college education.
Financial Aid Services at Daytona State College provides many resources to help students with their scholarship search. In addition to completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), new and returning students should also plan to apply for Daytona State College Foundation donor scholarships, available online at www.DaytonaState.edu/
For summer classes starting May 20 and July 1, scholarship applications are available now through April 12, 2013. Students will be notified in May if they have received a scholarship. For fall scholarships, students should check the college’s website for beginning dates for scholarship applications, expected mid-May.
