DCF Offers Hands-On Help

A representative from the Florida Department of Children and Families is available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Friday at the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway.

The representative, who is part of DCF’s Access Florida Program, can help residents apply for benefits including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid and cash assistance.

Access Florida helps to promote strong and economically self-sufficient communities by providing food, cash and medical assistance to individuals and families on the road to economic recovery.

Reservations are not required. For more information, call the Department of Children and Families at 386-446-8561.
