About the Author

Samantha Bishop

is the executive vice president of the Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce. She has lived in New Smyrna Beach since 1978 and graduated from New Smyrna Beach High School in 1987. She has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and a Masters in Business Administration Degree from Stetson University. She is a 1995 Graduate of the Southeast Volusia Leadership Program. Samantha was hired as the Interim Executive Director on August 20, 2010 and promoted to the permanent position by November. She happily lives in Edgewater with her, husband, Roy and their six-year-old daughter, Alexis.
