Florida Surf Film Festival
The NSB Observer is proud to announce our participation as filmmakers in the first annual Florida Surf Film Festival scheduled to take place on November 15-16, 2013 at the Atlantic Center for the Arts.
We have decided to enter in the short film category and began filming “The Right Coast Wahine” last Saturday, March 9, 2013.
According to FloridaSurfFilmFestival.com, “The multi-media and journalism artists will work the four days leading up to the festival (November 10-14). Emerging and mid-career artists in various disciplines will work with leading artists/facilitators in their corresponding field, cross disciplines and workshop with other facilitators and participants during the week, culminating with the film festival.”
The Florida Surf Film Festival’s mission is to invigorate Florida surf culture through film appreciation and artistic expression, exhibiting contemporary films and coordinating a film, multi-media art and journalism workshop for emerging artists.
Both short and feature length films will be considered for the following recognition:
- Best Feature Film
- Best Short Film
- Best Cinematography
- Best Soundtrack
- Best Emerging Artist
- Viewers Choice Award
