Helping Hands and Hearts for Hunger
Belong held a fundraiser on Sunday, September 30 at Flip Flops Grill and Chill. The event was to raise money to stock food pantries all over Southeast Volusia County. Belong is a New Smyrna Beach Women’s Community Outreach Group run by chairwoman Marianne Luchansky that holds two to three fundraisers annually to benefit the community. A $10 donation included a meal and drink from Flip Flops, while the booth fees of participating vendors went directly to the food pantries.
There were several local vendors participating, including charitable organizations such as Sophie’s Circle Pet Food Pantry and Art Is Creation, a children’s art education program.
