“History Rocks” Fundraiser to Benefit NSB Museum
Friday, October 12 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM, “History Rocks” will pump up the volume at the New Smyrna Beach Historical Museum with live entertainment, delicious food, beverages and a silent auction. Tickets are $25 per person and may be purchased at the New Smyrna Beach Historical Museum or Gone Bonker’s on Flagler Avenue.
This year, entertainers will include Dr. Cyndi Frazer and Peter Alden.
Dr. Frazer, a psychologist who is also a multi-instrumentalist and professional vocalist, will channel the spirit of the vivacious and beautiful Marilyn Monroe as she performs her tribute to this iconic legend.
Currently touring with Allengang Entertainment, she has sung the National Anthem for various events and sports teams including the Tampa Bay Rays, Daytona Cubs, Wings and Wheels Air Show, Lake Mary Festival of Art and the New Smyrna Speedway. She volunteers as the Entertainment Chair for the American Cancer Society’s Southeast Volusia “Relay for Life.”
Peter Alden is Central Florida’s premiere Elvis tribute artist. He has performed his tribute show across the country and in many parts of the world including Wales, Beijing, Singapore, Vancouver and Puerto Rico. Peter’s performance credits include Disney World, Universal
Studios, Premier Cruise Lines, “Libertyland” in Memphis during Elvis Week and a sold-out show at the “House of Blues” in honor of Elvis’s birthday.
He was a regular cast member for many years with “Legends in Concert” performing in various locations including Branson, Myrtle Beach, Pittsburgh, and Dallas. Locally, Peter is well-known for his stellar performance in the New Smyrna Beach Little Theatre’s 2011 production of “Joseph, and the Technicolor Dreamcoat.”
SoNapa, the event’s major sponsor, is providing an impressive selection of wines and servers for the event and more than two dozen local restaurants are creating an array of hors d’hoeurves.
The silent auction includes “A Get Away at Night Swan,” and rounds of golf at Hidden Lakes Golf Club and Sugar Mill Golf & Country Club.
All proceeds benefit the New Smyrna Beach Historical Museum.
