Hometown Store Recognized for Outstanding Customer Service
The Sears store in New Smyrna Beach has been named a 2013 Sears Hometown Premier Store. This award recognizes Sears Hometown Stores across the country that consistently offers the highest levels of customer service, outstanding store performance and standards.
At the end of last year, both the NSB and St. Augustine stores were two of only 293 locations throughout the U.S. to receive this national recognition. Both stores are owned and operated locally by Glenn and Susan Hooper.
“To be honored as a Premier Store is a great achievement not only for our stores, but also for the community we strive to serve everyday,” said Glenn Hooper, owner and operator. “We could not have earned this without the support of our community and great staff. We want to thank our customers for their loyalty and for shopping with us throughout the year.”
Only 32 percent of the 1200 Sears Hometown Stores receive this prestigious award, and this year, each store receiving Premier Store status will be given the opportunity to participate in special events and promotions.
