March 2 – 1st Saturday Art Stroll/Gallery Walk
Stroll the Canal Street Historic District Saturday, March 2, during the monthly 1st Saturday Art Stroll and Gallery Walk in the NSB Waterfront LOOP, New Smyrna Beach. On the first Saturday of the month, artistic vendors set up along the historic street from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. A free concert also is scheduled from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Christmas Park. Galleries feature solo and group exhibitions and artist talks in the Douglas Avenue area of the district from 4-7 p.m. Admission is free. March 9 – Canal Street Cruise
The Canal Street Cruise will be from 4-8 p.m., Saturday, March 9, along historic Canal Street, New Smyrna Beach. March 16 – Spring Sidewalk Sale
Flagler Avenue will host its annual Spring Sidewalk Sale from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday, March 16, along Flagler Avenue, New Smyrna Beach. Stroll the seaside district and peruse sales outside the shops. For more information, please call 386.427.2256.
March 17 – Shamrock & Roll/St. Patrick’s Day
Join the Pot O’Gold treasure hunt along Flagler Avenue from 5-9 p.m., Sunday, March 17. Food, live entertainment, dancing and prizes also will be offered. For more information, please log on to www.partyonflagler.com.
March 23 – Flagler Avenue Wine Walk at Art Walk
Explore interesting wines as you walk Flagler Avenue from 1-7 p.m., Saturday, March 23. During the progressive event, taste your choice of more than 100 showcased wines. Wine tasting passports are $25 and are available at 113 Flagler, at the tent at Flagler Avenue and Cooper Street, or at the corner of S. Atlantic and Flagler Avenue. Passports include 20 tasting tickets and a keepsake wine glass. Some locations feature both one- and multi-ticket wines to sample. Those who want to share their 20 tasting tickets with a friend may get an additional wine glass for $5. The event coincides with the Flagler Avenue Art Walk. March 30 – Easter Egg Hunt
Children may get an early start on their annual search for eggs Saturday, March 30. An Easter egg hunt will begin at noon in Old Fort Park, 210 Sams Ave., New Smyrna Beach. The hunt will be divided into four age groups: 2-3, 4-5, 6-9, 10-12. The event is free. Children should bring a basket. Free hot dogs, drinks and activities also will be offered. The event is hosted by the City of New Smyrna Beach, the Canal Street Special Events Team, and the New Smyrna Lodge No. 149 Free and Accepted Masons of Florida.
