NSB Surf Film Festival
The second annual film festival was held to raise funds for the New Smyrna Beach Museum of East Coast Surfing.
The event featured a silent auction, food from Clancy’s Cantina, several original film screenings, lectures by film makers, live music and the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award was presented to Jimmy Lane by last year’s recipient, Mike Martin. Lane owns Jimmy Lane Surf Academy and has airbrushed over 40,000 surfboards and taught approximately 15,000 people to surf throughout his career.
The event culminated with the 50th anniversary celebration presentation of Bruce Brown’s “The Endless Summer.”
