One Day Left to Vote NSB “Ultimate Fishing Town”
New Smyrna Beach is only two spots away from the top 10 list in the World Fishing Network’s (WFN) online contest for the title of, “Ultimate Fishing Town.”
Along with the opportunity to win the prestigious namesake and $25,000 to benefit local anglers and/or coastal conservation efforts, New Smyrna Beach is also in the running for winning one of eight other regional prizes, and could be a featured destination on WFN.
Voting began on April 15, 2013 and ends on May 3, 2013 at 1:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Everyone has a chance to vote four times in a day and tourism officials are requesting your votes. Fans can also provide extra votes for NSB via Facebook and Twitter. To cast your vote, visit: http://www.
Two finalists per region will advance to the Second Public Voting Period, determined by the two highest vote totals per region. The town only has until May 3rd to garner enough votes to make it to the second round.
New Smyrna Beach is often referred to as, “The Redfish Capital of the World.” Here, the fishing isn’t just good; it’s a way of life. Inshore, offshore, river, lake or lagoon, New Smyrna Beach has it all. Even boat manufacturers like Boston Whaler, Edgewater Power Boats and Everglades Boats all make this quaint little town their home.
