Samantha Vigil – Red Dog General Manager
Q: What brought you to NSB?
A: My Dad had a house here and my sister already lived here. I knew I didn’t want to live in Jupiter anymore but I wanted to stay close to family, so this was the best option.
A: Almost 6 years now. I started off as a floor junkie and worked my way up to management.
Q: What did you do before you started working at Red Dog?
A: I was a Medical Technician in the Air Force. I knew I was interested in Physical Therapy and I wanted to get away from where I had always lived, so I walked into a recruiter’s office one day and signed up. Four years later I moved to NSB.
Q: What is your favorite clothing line Red Dog carries?
A: O’neil, by far. They have always had a very laid back look and that is my style.
Q: What challenges do you face as the Manger of Red Dog?
A: I would say all the financial aspects like the budgeting for the buying. Also, fashion changes so much you really have to be aware of current trends all over the world.
Q: What is your favorite meal in town?
A: Normally when Shane and I go to dinner we go to Spanish River, but I have to say I had the ceviche at Café Verde and it was amazing. I have never had ceviche that good.
Q: What is your favorite spot on the beach?
A: I love going to “the wall” down in Bethune. It is a fun spot and a great meeting place for friends and family.
Q: What do you do on your day off?
A: I try to spend as much time with my daughter as I can. We usually go to Riverside Park, the beach or a pool. We are trying to teach her how to swim right now.
Q: Where is your favorite place in town to shop?
A: Red Dog is basically my closet. Since I get to do all the buying, I love everything we have.
Q: What is your favorite memory living here so far?
A: This past year has been amazing. Having a baby and watching her crawl and walk and getting to see her grow has been the best for sure.
